Wow flashback... I used to love going there back when i lived in Nashville, in fact I used to run the Steak and Ale restaurant just up the street from there... I tried calling some friends of mine that worked there and got different stories as to why it closed. A couple of them said the owner had passed away, and nobody in the family wanted to take it over, and was trying to sell it, but they were all let go as they didn't want to keep it going. Some others said they got into financial trouble, and had to close. Neither group felt therre were any plans for relocating or re-opening. not sure if this helps, but sure is sad it's not there anymore...What happened to the 101st Airborne Restaurant in Nashville Tennessee?
The 101st closed on January 28th,2006.Specialty Restaurants, who owned 101st,closed it ,along with other aviation restaurants it had open across the USA.There were several factors involved, the building was in bad shape, and sales had been down.I was the Dj there the last 5 years,

It is now 2020 and I still remember this place. It was somewhere I always wanted to go to when in Nashville back in the day. It's a shame there are not more places like this. Great memories!
ReplyDeleteI miss that place. I wish there were more venues like that. Seems millennial behaviors have infected everything. I can’t even enjoy a good restaurant with a respectable theme anymore.
