Eateries in Tennessee.?

Any ideas or suggestions on where to eat in Nashville AND Memphis.

Preferably restaurants as opposed to grill type places. Thanks.Eateries in Tennessee.?
In Memphis, you have to try Rendezvous for Barbecue. Corky's is another good one. Bahama Breeze (at Wolfchase Mall) is great for Jamaican food with a great atmosphere. During warm weather, sit outside and enjoy the live entertainment. Huey's has the best burgers, there are several locations. Big Foot is great when you want a variety of food offered. Isaac Hayes (in the Peabody Mall) has a great variety of southern food, salads with terrrific entertainment. Silky O'Sullivans (on Beale St.) has great Southern meals and terrific drinks.
Hi

My mum said that almost all steak houses are great to eat in. She is a connoisseur of fine steak! (spelling?)Eateries in Tennessee.?
In Memphis, Wally Joe is closing his place soon and becoming executive chef elsewhere (sorry, it was in the papers, but I don't remember where). Wally is a world-class chef.
If in Nashville you should try the Stockyard Steakhouse - it's excellent! If you want something a little less expensive then check out the 5th Quarter - another great steak house.
A really nice restaurant in Memphis right off of 240 (the junction that takes you around Memphis) is called Owen Brennans. They serve New Orleans style food, but it's a nice place to eat at. It can be a bit pricy, though, with some items. I believe this is off exit number 15 on 240 (it's the exit for Poplar Avenue). Head East on Poplar, and it is in a really nice strip mall on your left after the third (I think?) stoplight. Here's their website: http://www.brennansmemphis.com/

If you are traveling along Interestate 40, take exit 18, which is Germantown Road. If you take Germantown North, you'll see the mall (Wolfechase) on your right. There are a lot of great restaurants around there right off the highway as well:

J. Alexanders: a steakhouse

Bahama Breeze: a Caribbean chain

Abuello's: a Mexican restaurant (take Germantown North to Route 64, which is just after the mall, first stoplight, and take a right, and it is right next to Lowes)

Firebirds: it's a small chain, but good food as well: steaks, pork tenderloins, etc. This is right after Abuello's on Route 64 on your left as well

There are lots of others too, right around Germantown/Wofechase/64

I don't know if you are wanting to head into downtown Memphis, but the most famous restaurant in Memphis is Rendeveux, but it is closed on Sunday and Monday. It is a very basic rib/meat place, but world-known. Here's their link: http://www.hogsfly.com

Have fun driving!
