Favorite city? Louisville, Cincy, Nashville, Memphis, Austin, D/FW, San Antone, Houston, B'ham, ATL, Denver

Please explain why you like a certain city (or, for that matter, don't like a certain city.) Consider such factors as climate, geography, weather, people, traffic, jobs, economy.

My favorites are Memphis, Ft. Worth area (w/o Dallas), and San Antonio. Those cities are each unique culturally, they each have their own charm and character. The people are friendly and the weather is warm.

My least favorite is Louisville. I used to live there, they are the meanest people in the midwest; I've met people from and received better service in restaurants in Manhattan. Even in the churches people are harsh and impolite. Once people find out you're not from there, they won't even acknowledge, much less talk to you. It's not what you know or how nice a person you are, it's WHO you know, and that rule is applied even in the job market. At least the traffic isn't all too bad (lol).Favorite city? My favorite is Tokyo. Since I was a little girl I used to dream of living there.

Not only because it is one of the fascinating cities in the world,The Japanese are gift-givers. The Japanese are nothing if not polite. If you visit Tokyo you will never get bored during your trip, because it is the world's most densly populated city and it features everythingfrom a brightly-lit entertainment districts to quiet gardens. Though the city has excellent public transportation systems. the city has small temples tucked between modern office buildings, interesting shops, and sumos riding bicycles through their village.

I also love Manga and animes,Tokyo is known for it is international Anime fair, Tokyo has Japan's highest concentration of corporate headquarters, financial institutions, universities and colleges, museums, theaters, and shopping and entertainment establishments.

Tokyo has the largest metropolitan economy in the world: its nominal GDP of around US$1.315 trillion is greater than the 8th largest national economy in the world.Tokyo has many tourist sightseeing, cultural and sport attractions. These include famous temples, shrines, castles, annual festivals and events, parks, scenic views, popular shopping and nightlife districts. Cultural highlights of Tokyo include museums, concert halls, and theaters.
Memphis, that's where I was born.Favorite city? Louisville, Cincy, Nashville, Memphis, Austin, D/FW, San Antone, Houston, B'ham, ATL, Denver
Whatever...

Splooch!
San Antonio, it makes me think of that time Ozzy urinated on the alamo
Calgary, the home of the Flames!!!

Edmonton, the home of the stupidest drivers!!!

These are, for those who don't know, in Alberta, Canada.
i have always liked austin, the people are friendly and there is lots to do. mainly because i saw stevie ray vaughan a lot there in the late 70's before he got popular, and the music scene is great.

my least favorite would be houston, i lived there for 18 years, and the only reason galveston doesn't slide into the gulf is because houston sucks.
Memphis! It's so much fun, and just has a great vibe to it. I live about 3 hours from there, and I wish I could make it down more often!
My favorite city is Hanoi, where I'm living. It is developing with a breathtaking speed! A foreigner who was there 6years ago said to me that she couldn't believe in her eyes seeing the miracle of my city. It has a huge populations of 80.000.000 inhabitants, but much smaller than other capital in the world! There are many ancients architecture and traditional culture.
My favorites are Biloxi Mississippi, Bossier City Louisiana (lived there for 3 months and loved it). Biloxi is my favorite because it is on the coast of Mississippi and the lighthouse is across from the beach. Love Bossier City, because I lived there and the casinos are cool. Also Love the small towns in North Carolina and Tennessee.

I hate big cities like Dallas or Houston or any of those. Don't like the traffic and they are just too big for me.

Dallas. I grew up and now live in AR (which I love and am very proud to be a redneck lol) and lived in Dallas for 3 years 90-93. If your single it's great. You can make good money. I was an exec assistant and made 35,000 in 1993. They have great apt's with lots of amenitIEs. Excellent shopping ie malls, outlets, small one of a kind shoppes in Highland Park, Art Fairs, Downtown Market, etc. You can't beat the restaurants. I recommend Ruth's Chris but be prepared to spend about 40 bucks a person at least. The only thing I don't miss is the traffic and always trying to "keep up with the Jones'" Dallas is full of big hair and big money! LOL

By the way I used to travel to Louisville and I thought it was beautiful. I don't think I ever had anyone be rude to me either.

Also I live 40 min from Memphis and hate it. I feel like I need to bring a fullyautomatic machine gun to feel safe there!

Have a good one!
NYC- great mix of culture- the city that never sleeps- always something to do- any kind of food imaginable- wide range of clubs, bars, shows, restaurants, shopping, museums, historical monuments- the list continues.......
