I think a tour is not necessary and therefore you might be finding difficulty finding one though I am sure there must be many.. google, Thailand, tours and surely you will find something..

Just land in Don Maung, ton of taxis even it they rip you off a little bit no prob, its probably a couple bucks. Tell the cabbie you want a hotel for what ever price u choose, but if you're looking for women make sure you let the cabbie know. I will never book a hotel in Thailand over the phone as I loved the "Presidential" off Sukhamvit Soi 22 if I remember, but I'm not going to thailand for a while, I'm checking other parts of asia instead.

Again this is from Los Angeles. This is their lowest fare period. Return flight take whatever you can get. Cost about $760 r/t. They all end up on ONE flight back from Taipei. I have not been to Phukett, I cannot tell you which local airline to take. Though I heard Phukett Air was having financial problems at one time. Check around. For accomodations, try www.asiarooms.com, they are a french company but, good room rates and good selection. If you change your mind they are supposed to be a little slow on refunds. If you are on a budget you can get away with a 3 star hotel maybe a 2 star but, don't go below that or you will critters visiting you. I usually stay at a 4 star for USD 37 per night all inclusive in Bangkok. It's away from the Sukhumvit but, close to the massage parlors. And close to the subway and it's a 15 minute ride to Sukhumvit and the night life. It's the Emerald Hotel on Ratchadapisek road. Check the hotel reviews they are helpful. Bangkok tours, there aren't too many, mostly bus tours of the Wats or temples and other sights. Very cheap. See www.thaiwebsites.com for more info. Another option is going to Pattaya about 65 miles south of Bangkok, nice beaches and wild nightlife. Airfare to Phukett I understand is about USD 100, a taxi to Pattaya is about USD 40. Cheap vacation packages to Florida?
I plan to go to Florida with my family from July 3-9 or 5-12 (depending on if its more expensive traveling during the July 4th weekend). We've never been there so we don't know weather to rent a car in my current location, Saint Louis, MO and just drive there or to get a vacation package with the flight-hotel-car. I have been searching around at Disney Vacation Packages for my boyfriend and I to go together. I have found so many sites with unbelievably cheap vacation packages (like 200 for both of us) but they require us to be 25 and married and we are only 21.

Those ultra cheap sites are timeshare sales. You really don't want to get in on that.
If you are trying to go ultra cheap you can buy your park tickets, and then just rent a cheap hotel outside the park. You may even find one that includes breakfast. However, you need to consider a couple of things. If you are outside the park you will need a car. Also, you will have to pay to park that car at Disney World every day. Also beware of resort fees, and fees for the safe, and who knows what other fee. You can call the hotel to make sure. The discount websites don't have that information. That is how they get the prices on the discount site to look cheap.
Good luck. Do a little research and look at the hotel reviews. Just make sure that by the time you add in the fees and the parking that you are not going over the price of the Value Resorts at Disney. Disney is not a 'cheap' vacation, but you can be careful and get the best value possible.
If you've found packages that are unbelievably cheap yet require you to be 25 and married then they will require you to sit through boring and lengthy timeshare presentations and will hound you to purchase a timeshare throughout your entire trip. You're better off without that option.

If you find a cheap Disney World vacation package, beware... Someones either trying to sell you something else OR it's just a fraud to get your money.

Also consider what areas you're thinking of going to...some places are pricier than others....for example, Camaguey, Holguin and Varadero are less expensive than other areas of Cuba...but whatever you do, do not book less than a 4* resort to ensure quality and service.

Where can I find a cheap vacation package for New Orleans?
I'm looking to vacate to New Orleans for a while. I only want to go for a few days and I'm not familiar with the area. Does anyone know of a website or company that has like an affordable hotel package that includes activities/events/tours maybe? We're going to drive so I wont need travel accomodations. Depending on the dates you want to travel I have found the best travel deals on southwest vacations, (www.swavacations.com)
The best days to travel is Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, when I go to Vegas I leave on a Saturday mourning and return Tuesday or Wednesday.
For example my next planned trip from Portland Oregon to Las Vegas is 12/9/06 for three nights at Treasure Island, air fair and transportation to and from the hotel all taxes for a total of $627.00 for two people.
Circus Circus is cheaper but not as nice.
I also suggest reviewing different dates, sometimes if there are conventions or special events the hotel rates can make the deals very hard to find.
Plan your trip in advance and when you know the dates you what to be there and have found the deal buy the tickets, waiting for a better deal is not worth it.

The best days to travel is Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday, when I go to Vegas I leave on a Saturday mourning and return Tuesday or Wednesday.
For example my next planned trip from Portland Oregon to Las Vegas is 12/9/06 for three nights at Treasure Island, air fair and transportation to and from the hotel all taxes for a total of $627.00 for two people.
Circus Circus is cheaper but not as nice.
I also suggest reviewing different dates, sometimes if there are conventions or special events the hotel rates can make the deals very hard to find.
Plan your trip in advance and when you know the dates you what to be there and have found the deal buy the tickets, waiting for a better deal is not worth it.

My mother-in-law has been saying for years now, that she wants to take us all on a Disney cruise and the Disney World and Epcot. Well, FINALLY, after 18 years of saying it, she's doing it. She contacted AAA and was quoted one price. After figuring it out for all of us to go (5 of us, 3 in my sister-in-law's family, my mother-in-law and other brother-in-law), we came up with what it would cost each of us.
She called AAA back and was about to book the deal when she said "I'm a member". Well, that changed everything. From what she was willing to chip in for 10 of us to go, to the new quote, she decided to pay for the whole thing. It turned out to be a couple grand more, and everything is included.
AAA membership is very inexpensive for the year. It's well worth the $60/year, even if you only use them once or twice for travel, or for a break down. Also, if you're planning the cruise, like we are, you'll need a passport. The normal cost of a photo is $16 per picture for non-members. Members pay $8 per picture. And they're done right, compared to other places that offer to do them.
Good luck and I hope you have a lot of fun. It's not easy to book hotels for a family of 5. If one kid doesn't mind sleeping on the floor, just tell the hotel it's a family of 4. I think it's worth it considering it's freakin $1/night. They even have a video series relating to it (leaving it in the source section). cruises really aren't that expensive, plus everything is included, food, drink, travel costs, room service, you never have to clean its amazing. its like you can go somewhere and actually enjoy the trip there. just find a cruise that leaves near where you live, so you don't need to pay airfare, of course that would be impossible if you don't live near a coast

Which hotels in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area allow 18 year olds to rent a room?
My friends and I plan on taking a trip to Gatlinburg to see the shopping strip and then take a trip to Pigeon Forge to see the Dixie Stampede. We REALLY want a cabin for the weekend and if you know any cabins that have an age limit of only 18 that'd be great but I realize that finding a hotel for the minimum age requirement is more likely. Going on our first trip to Myrtle Beach in summer of '10?
2 adults and 2 children (6 %26amp; 9). What are some fun, budget/kid friendly things to do? I have done some searching online. I am looking for opinions of people who have been there. Medieval Times vs Dixie Stampede? We also thought of the Ripley's Aquarium- we usually visit aquariums if there are ones nearby. I also saw they had passes for $99 to NASCAR Speed Park, Myrtle Waves Water Park, and the Pavilion Nostalgia Park. Are those places a lot of fun? Is there any free entertainment for kids? Best places to eat for cheap? Also, what is the parking like if I should stay at hotel that is not beach front and I had to drive? We are considering July or August. Any good places to get coupons or discounts online? Any great budget/kid friendly hotels that are cheap for a week? Are there places I should avoid? I think Medieval Times is fun to go with kids, I like Ripley's aquarium a lot too been there few times. I don't think I would buy these passes for $99. Myrtle Waves water park is good, but they have also Wild Water and wheels water park which is about the same but less crowded and admission is $27 and you can pay $10 for unlimited go carts and mini golf in the same park. So for $37 you get pretty good deal in my opinion it's water park, go carts and mini golf. But you would have to drive a little bit, Wild Ware and Wheels it's in Surfside beach, but it's only 9 miles from Myrtle Beach. Now before you buy any tickets when you come to town there is a lot of place where you can find free discount coupon books, most hotels have them, or stop in welcome centers and ask for coupon book, you can save money on almost any attractions in town. Parking - some hotels they charge extra fee and in downtown Myrtle Beach you have to pay for parking, but near most attractions and everywhere else it's free parking. First week of July is really busy a lot of people in town, traffic and lines everywhere. Any other time in June, July or August is a good time to visit Myrtle Beach, last two weeks in August it will be less crowded. I like the most North Myrtle Beach, I thinks it's very family friendly area. Everything is not too far away in Myrtle Beach, as long as you have a car it should be fine. Okay so today i accidently hit my sister with a brush in the face. My sister (who is a ginger) started to cry. My mother started slapping me and pinched my skin and scratched me. I started to yell curse words at her and she went even more psycho on me. She started to rip my hair out and it still hurts to this day. I started to cry and refused to go to the Dixie Stampede with Dolly Parton. Im just wondering if this is normal for a parent to do?

Ok I went to the Dixie Stampede tonight and they did some kind of tribute to the Native American specifically the Cherokee and I LOVED the song but can't figure out what it is called? I can't find it on the Stampede website, on Dolly's website, on google in any way I work it in the search so I am putting this out there asking. DOES anyone know this song? We are a very small start-up company trying to reach people so they can get free stuff for taking a timeshare tour. The places we offer tours include: Branson, MO; Gatlinburg, TN; Orlando, FL; Hilton Head, SC, and Williamburg, VA. Married couples (and couples who live together) who are at least 25 years of age and have an income of over $50,000.00 can take a 90 minute tours and receive Dixie Stampede Dinner Show tickets whereever Dixie Stampede is located, or they can receive cash in Branson ($150.00 CASH); or 2 Disney World, 2 Universal Studios, or 2 SeaWorld tickets in Orlando; or a motel room and 2 rounds of golf in Hilton Head. Our question is probably the one every new business owner wants to ask: How can we best reach our potential customers? Also you might want to create a REALLY simple web-page that requires contact information and post links to it in timeshare forums and BBS systems.

Well there are a huge number of theaters obviously that put on all different kinds of shows (like the Branson variety theater).
There is also Marvel Cave but I believe you get a tour of that with admission to Silver Dollar CIty. It's definitely a sight to see. The Branson Scenic Railway is a nice way to sit down and relax while still taking in a lot of sights. I don't know when you are planning your trip, but if it's a little later on (march or so) the Butterfly Place is great also.

Hi, I live in WV(West Virginia) and I am taking a class field trip to TN(Tennessee) Pigeon Ford and we are going to Dixie Stampede and Ripley's Aquarium, It isn't a overnight trip we will be leaving a 6:30 and coming back at 11:30 it will probably be 3 and half hours until we get there and then another 3 and a half hours back so about 7 hours of driving so Can you give me some things to do on the way there and back???

Hello, I've lived in Branson for about 7 years. One of the funnest things to do in December in Branson is Silver Dollar City. It's really a blast. One of the funnest things to do in Branson. Also, one of my other fav. places to go in town is the Branson Landing if you and your sisters like to shop!! It's outdoors and there are often free live shows on saturday evenings at the fountain. I'm sure that you can look at the schedule on their site. Also, there is a fire and water show at the landing every hour on the hour. It's a lot of fun. There are also great places to eat and even coffee shops!! One of the best shows that you can see in Branson is SIX. I would highly reccomend it. Also, check out the sight and sound theaters. Their shows are AMAZING. Really Amazing!! They have live animals and the whole theater is a part of the story. It's almost like watching something on broadway. One more that I will recommend is Pierce Arrow. It is SO funny!! One of the most popular shows in town. The ziplines are also great fun~you can really not go wrong with Branson. There are so many fun shows and things to do!!

There is Silver Dollar city, Celebration City which has rides and water park, Dolly Parton has a dinner theater with a western themed show, there are miniture golf courses, arcades, go kart tracks, a Butterfly palace, Ride the ducks out onto the lake, take a helicoptor ride, rent a boat and go out on Table Rock Lake, see some of the fun museums such as Ripleys etc, perhaps they might enjoy a country music show (all are G rated and no liquor is served), fountains that dance to music, Branson Belle river boat cruise and when my daughter was 12 she loved the outlet malls and had no trouble finding clothes for me to buy her. Most of the restaurants are themed or family friendly. I'm not big on the country shows so we tend to stay in condos off the strip that have nice pools for the kids to relax in toward evening. In old Branson there is an old time dime store that has some really fun stuff to look through. They add more new stuff to see each year so Branson always changes. We tend to go at least once a year for a weekend and always find stuff to keep us occupied.

I have two sisters- 7 and 11 and I am 15. So they have to be appropriate for all of us.
We have already seen Dixie Stampede in Orlando and in Myrtle beach, so if it is any different, please let me know. I heard Dolley Parton opened a new pirate show, too. Is that in Branson?

How Can I save as much money as possible on my vacation?
Me and my boyfriend are taking an over night vacation to pigeon forge this summer. july 3rd and 4th to be exact. We are renting a nice romantic cabin and such to enjoy ourselves and going to a few more places listed below. any tips on saving will be appreciated.

See, my dad is going to be gone for 6 months starting in May btw his in the air-force and has to go to Iraq and Afghanistan. Anyways, they were gonna go to Myrtle Beach like they always do but they cant now because he's going to be gone! But She says she doesn't want to go but she does. I was thinking I could take her. Btw: im 13 so i wouldn't be taking her she would be taking me but i would plan everything! So i found a condo but i don't no what to do there, tell me if this sounds go, we would go shopping, go to the dixie stampede, and go on a dolphin cruise. What are the best things to do in myrtle beach, sc?
Keep in mind a lot of things are closed right now, because it's out of season. I'm going with three other friends (we're all 18) on the 18th and 19th of march (next weekend.) We're going to the ripley's attractions, thats a given. But other than that we're not sure what to do that's exciting, but that doesn't cost so much. We looked at Dixie stampede and Medival times, but they were way too much (50 a person). The largest Car show on the East Coast is this weekend. Right near the beach in downtown Myrtle. I believe it is free and a ton of fun. I think it is Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Broadway at the Beach is the best place for shows, shopping, movies and nightlife. Their are many clubs that are 18 and up and some do not have covers. It is my favorite place to go in Myrtle Beach.

Go to the 2nd Ave Pier Restaurant...its awesome! I love it, it has a great view and its right on the beach.

I am planning to take 6 adults, and 1 (11 yr) child to Branson. Only get to stay Sat nite, have to come home Sun. We are going to Dixie Stampede on Sat. nite. That covers Sat dinner.
But what other showes are best (child safe, too) I have seen Yochavich, and Hobknobbers. Didn't like dixie belle (food sucked) show was OK. I went to branson and I really liked the magic shows, there is a really good one I cant remember what it is called but its advertised alot, he has white tigers.

Cirque is a really good show. It's an acrobatic type theatrical show. It's an excellent alternative to the hillbilly type stuff that Branson is most famous for. The Dixie Stampede is good, you won't leave hungry.

Our vacation for this year is Myrtle Beach..its gonna be an expensive trip cause were going to do all the activities they have also..like Dixie Stampede, Ripleys Aquarium, Ripleys believe it or not, Water park, go cart riding, put put golf,things like that..
Our day trips or mini trips or activities that we went on so far this year are Disney on Ice, The circus and chuck e cheese, Curious George live..were gonna go to the zoo, Valley Worlds of Fun, the apple farm, the water park, camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, 4 -wheeler and tons more..

We go on real vacations during the school year because it's cheaper, and in 1st grade, our kid is not missing much. Honestly.
We might take a weekend trip or two. I'm hoping to go to Cedar Point and take my 7 year old on coasters for the first time.
well the only big plans for me and my family this summer is going to Hawaii for a friend of the families wedding. it should be nice, its going to be held in Waikiki. i hope its very beautiful.
We always go to Lake Michigan, the zoo, and a water park. The hubby and I are going to Chicago for a weekend this summer. We'll see a Cubs game and see the sights and shop.
On weekends we're always at the lake, the pool, the park or doing something outdoors.
This summer will be a first for me. My adult niece (only 5 years younger than me) are going to do a getaway to Cancun for the two of us. No children, no husbands, just a girl's week. We can't wait. I've never actually done a "getaway" vacation before and I'm looking forward to it!
Sounds like you're going to have a fun summer. Our only plans are going to NY for a week. 2 days of that will be driving. Other than that, who knows. A friend wants us to drive down to Disney and meet her there for a weekend, but it all depends on money.
My husband bought a time share a few years ago. When he first told me about it I was a bit upset because it is pretty expensive but now we go away every year. Last year we took the kids and they had a blast. The resort that we stay at has tons of activities and built in pools all over, plus it is close to Disney and Universal so there is always somewhere to go. And my mother lives close by too so we get some family time as well. This year we are going at the end of the summer though so I have a while to wait to get some time off and some quality family time.

We have a trip planned to go camping in the mountains in Colorado this summer but my husband may be laid off of his job (will be unless he can find an opening and transfer). We'll know if that's a go next month.
Day trips... the beach (Corpus probably, we're in central Texas) and Sea World San Antonio. We go swimming, fishing, and/or to water parks every weekend in the summer and camping once or twice a month in the spring and fall (too hot in Texas to go in the summer!).
Oh I wish.....Me and hubby started a new job and we don't get any vacation time. We don't even get weekends together because I work Sunday Monday and Tuesday, he works the other days.
No going out of town for us :(
Wish we did, the IRS is took our vacation this year in the form of a $1000 tax payment instead of a refund. Thanks Obama! His plan totally isn't working like he said it would.
Every summer we go on a week long camping trip. Other than that, we do a lot of outdoor activities like playing at the beach, hiking, boating, fishing, bonfires in the back yard and picnics in the park. I also live in a area that has lots of free activities for families. They host free movies in the park, free summer camp for older kids, and free activities during the day for kids of all ages. Our summers are pretty busy. I love Minnesota in the summer!

We're going to Cuba in a month, and in the summer we'll probably take our daughter (she's almost 6 months) on little trips and outing... we're also moving in the fall so we'll be packing. We'll probably go swimming too!
We are moving next month so vacations are out of the question for the summer. I do have lots planned to keep us bus though. Going to the park, taking her to the zoo, going to the beach, picnic at the canal with my best friend and her son visiting tons of friends and family she hasn't seen before or for awhile at least, maybe going out to my dads friends trailor for a camp fire and swimming and such, play dates with my friends and their babies, taking her to the end of summer carnival and parade, big fathers day/my birthday fish fry at my parents house. I am so excited for this summer. Its going to be awesome!
