What is there to do in Pigeon Forge, NC with 2 children?

We are going to Dollywood and Dixie Stampede. We will be staying 7 nights/8 days.



1. What are some other good places or things to do in Pigeon Forge?



2. What things should we NOT do or not waste our money on?What is there to do in Pigeon Forge, NC with 2 children?
Lots of touristy-t-shirt, souvenir type shops. Dollywood of course (depends on the kids); miniture golf, usually a Ripleys Believe it or not museum . Lots of outlet malls. If you've never been I will warn you ----- very very crowded esp. this time of year and traffic is slow!!!! very narrow roads and not a lot of room. I used to prefer Gatlinburg (not far from Pigeon Forge) but it is becoming the same way. Here's one view:

If kids aren't too young go horseback riding or hiking in the Smokies

Pigeon Forge isnt in north carolina. It's in Tennessee. and holy crap, 7 days?! good luck not going crazy in that tiny town! Gatlinburg will take all of 2 days. Pigeon forge will take 2 if you include dolly wood. Dixie Stampede is A LOT of fun, and the food is really good too.. but other than that I cannot imagine 7 days there. Its just toooooo small.
