Any suggestions on what to do and where to eat? We are staying in a cabin. We have tickets for the Dixie Stampede Christmas. Other than that we don't have anything else planned.My husband and I will be in Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg are for three nights.?

I would consider heading to Dollywood. Dollywood does great things during Christmas. Not sure if the Comedy Barn offers a Christmas show but the regular show is funny and family friendly. Both cities offer good light tours. Ober Gatlinburg has a unique restaurant that over looks the ski slopes (food is okay). Also located at Ober Gatlinburg is an Ice Skating rink. And of course, you need to walk the downtown strip in Gatlinburg. Not that you will buy anything, but it is a must when you visit Gatlinburg.
My favorite restaurants include The Peddle (Gatlinburg), Fannie Farkles (Gatlinburg - one great corn dog), Smoky Mountain Brewery (Pigeon Forge -live bands), and The Old Mill (Pigeon Forge - good country cooking).
If you like casinos, you can drive to Cherokee, NC. Beware the road can be bad if it snowing. Check the schedule to see if Dollywood will still be open, it is always decorated nice for the holidays. If you like shopping, there are a lot of outlet stores in Pigeon Forge. Do not attempt Cades Cove, the road will be closed. That area has SO much to do. You're in a cabin and that's great already. The views from the mtn. are awesome. A drive along the Blueridge Parkway is nice, as well as one across the mountain to Cherokee,North Carolina..the state line is atop the smoky mtn..Pigeon Forge is lined with eateries and things to do..from Ripley's, an indoor waterpark,propelling,go carts. Check out Gatlinburg.com or type just the town. Good luck and have fun. We're going for Thanksgiving week.
