yes I have been about 12 times. It is a great show with great food. It is a competition between the north and the south. You can either sit on the north side of the stadium or the south side. The horses of each side do races, but they also have pig races and ostrich races (yes the performers ride the ostriches). They have buffaloes as well. It is owned by Dolly Parton, and it is REALLY nice. A MUST DO when you go to Gatlinburg. (actually the Dixie Stampede is in Pigeon Forge which is next to Gatlinburg but they are basically the same).

I have been to Dixie Stampede in Branson, MO (same thing as the one in TN) it was great. You get to eat a huge country-style meal while watching sporting events of the old west in a big rodeo-style arena. Well worth it. Lots of song and dance too. A little pricey though if you are going with kids, but they will love it too. You will be there about 3 hours so plan on having the evening or afterrnoon free! There is a free pre-show that goes on in the carriage house that you watch before the main event.The Dixie stampede?
It's a country style show. They give you a really big meal. They have entertainment with horses and singing, cowboys and cowgirls. It's a really entertaining show and they even get the audience involved.
I've been a few times and always enjoyed myself. I think it is well worth the money.
My only recomendation, try to get a seat further back, I know it's odd. But if you sit too close to the action, you will find that all the dust and dirt gets stirred up and you will end up eating it.
