How can i find extremely cheap vacation packages?

i am a poor college student, but am looking to get away sometime in february with a friend.



im interested in about a 3-5 night vacation, preferably somewhere near the ocean. a place similar to cancun mexico or a tropical-type place would be ideal.



however, my budget is very low. i am hoping to find a package where the airfare and hotel combined are about 400 dollars or less per person. is this unrealistic?



what are the best websites that can really help me find a good deal? most of the websites i've browsed so far are either hard to navigate or give me outrageous prices.How can i find extremely cheap vacation packages?
That's odd. With the drug related violence in Mexico tourists are staying away in record numbers and the travel industry is an absolute disaster. You should be able to find incredible deals. Perhaps try some of the resort websites directly and kayak.com almost always comes up with the best airfare available.
