Need Recommendations for things to do in Gatlinburg, TN?

My husband and I will be spending 5 days in Gatlinburg this May with our daughters ages 3 and 4. We know about Dollywood, but were wondering about what other fun things there are to do there. Also, would it be appropriate to take young children to the Dixie Stampede?Need Recommendations for things to do in Gatlinburg, TN?
Go to the Aquarium. There are many family fun center type places with miniature golf, games and carnival rides. Dollywood also has an adjacent water park- I don't know if it will be open in May though. Take a nature walk around Cades Cove. Have fun!
We just returned from there with our 2 daughters, ages 3 and 7, and never realized that there was so much to do! We couldn't fit it all in during the 4 days we were there. Here is what we did...

Ripley's Aquarium

Ober Gatlinburg

Miracle Theater in Pigeon Forge

Cirque De Chine in Pigeon Forge

Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge

Rainforest Adventures in Pigeon Forge

Shopping on the Gatlinburg Parkway

Mini Golf and go carts on the Pigeon Forge Parkway

Mountain lookout

The girls loved Cirque De Chine because of all of the pretty costumes and acrobatics. There was also a lot of drumming.

Wonderworks is amazing, and once you pay admission, you can come and go as you please for the rest of the day until they close.

Rainforest Adventures was really neat. You actually got to pet some animals like porcupines, birds, turantulas, and snakes. Also, unlike the zoo, all of the animals are very interactive through the glass. Even the snake was moving around in front of the glass. They also have goats and ostriches that you can feed, and kangaroos to look at.

Of course Ripleys Aquarium is a must-see for anyone.

Also, if you rent a cabin, a lot of them come with a hot tub, cable, jacuzzi tub, pool table, and/or air hockey table, so there is plenty to do just at the cabin. The one we had was 2 minutes from all of the Pigeon Forge attractions that we visited. Here it is http://www.vrbo.com/225222 It had a hot tub, jetted tub, flat panel tv's, a loft with XBOX 360 and a pool table, and a beautiful open kitchen with stainless steel appliances. It is located right on little pigeon river and is very peaceful. You can search that website or this one http://www.homeaway.com/search/keywords:鈥?/a> to find many cabins to choose from.

I have never been to Dixie Stampede, but your daughters will get in free to about all of the shows in the area. In fact, when we bought the tickets to Miracle, they were $34.95 for adults and they were running a special- for $15 more you could get into Country Tonight, Black Bear Jamboree, or the Magic show (A couple of them are dinner/breakfast shows I think). So for $50 per adult, you can take your whole family to 2 shows.

There is so much to do, you won't be disappointed.Need Recommendations for things to do in Gatlinburg, TN?
They will love the Dixie Stampede. Splash Country does open toward the end of May but you never can tell with the weather around here. It may be too cold.
