Gluten Free in Branson?

Our family is taking a trip to Branson this summer and we have a person the is on a strict gluten free diet. Does anyone know if the SHowboat Branson Belle, Silver Dollar City, and the Dixie Stampede offer a gluten free menu? Also any other good places to eat with a gluten free menu would be great. Thanks!

Oh, and since I'm asking a question. Anyone know of the Suites at Fall Creek. We need a kitchen and a two bed room suite...this one is at the top of our list.Gluten Free in Branson?
Yes I've stayed at the Suites at Fall Creek in Branson MO. It is a very nice property. It's a time share and it will have a kitchen. I know about gluten free diets (have a close relative with that issue).

Silver Dollar City is a theme park. I never been in there and I'm sure they have food.

Branson belle has seating and does have a menu.

Like with any restaurant in dealing with allergies one should be able to talk with the waiter about that persons needs when discussing the food on the menu. Items like meat (beef, chicken and Fish), vegetables and rice are naturally gluten free and it shouldn't be any problem of finding like a steak dinner, roasted chicken breast, or broiled fish that wouldn't have any breading on the menu.

If the needs are really strict like the person can't be in close proximity to gluten then you should call the restaurant in advance to see if they can make any accommodations.

I do know that the Dixie Stampede offers only one meal.

Their meal is:
* A Mouth-Watering Tender Whole Rotisserie Chicken
* Delicious Hickory Smoked Barbecued Pork Loin
* Dixie Stampede's Original Creamy Vegetable Soup
* Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit
* Hot Buttered Corn on the Cob
* Tasty Herb-basted Potato
* Dixie's very own Specialty Dessert
* Unlimited Pepsi庐, tea or coffee

There are at least two places close (within a couple of miles) where you can get groceries Jubilee Foods, and Super Walmart.

I disagree with the above poster who said to contact a travel agent. A doubt that a travel agent would be able to communicate the dietary needs as well as the individual (or parent) would. Personally, I get alot of insight into how accomodating a business can be to our needs, by talking to the manager. If you get the feeling that the person you are speaking with (OR EMAILING) does not "get" what you are talking about or does not answer your questions fully, ask to be put in contact with the manager or, better yet, the kitchen manager or chef.

From other sources of mine:

"Went to Branson, MO this past weekend. While there we ate dinner at Shorty Small's BBQ, on Hwy 165, south of 76. We have eaten there many times, pre-celiac days. I wasn't sure if I'd still be able to eat the yummy BBQ, or if I'd be watching my family, while I endured, ahem, enjoyed, yet another salad. Woohoo! Shorty Small's has a GF menu! And the food was delicious. "

"Cantina Laredo has a gluten free menu and the guacamole is awesome! I recommend making a reservation though"

"my husband and i had a very nice dinner at andre's, which is not far from the lodge of the four seasons. they were extremely helpful and knowledgable about gluten. their signature dessert is a coconut macaroon, which is gluten free, and absolutely delicious. we also ate at some pizza place called Risky's, which we liked. they had several choices of salads and other stuff safe to eat. have a good time!"

Try a travel agent. You may be able to answer these questions yourself by internet and phone calls, but a travel agent could do all of this leg work for you. You may need to bring some food anyhow.
