Things to do in Tennessee?

I'm planning a trip for my grandparents who are going to Nashville, Tennesse in the end of April. I just wanted to know what are some thing they could do while they are there. The must sees and do s. They both want to see the country music part of Tennessee. Mostly Johnny Cash and Elvis. It would be great to let me know the events that are going on at this time or even johnny cash/ elvis tributes around this area. Are there also any golf course around that are nice but not really really long. They are both mobile and could easily drive and walk far distances. Are there also any cute towns or must see places where they could drive to for a day trip nothing more then 5-6 hours. Finally what are some good restaurants in Nashville, a little more upscale but not too pricey. Thanks in advanced.Things to do in Tennessee?
There are so many things to do and see in TN, that I couldn't possibly list them all here. I suggest you visit www.tnvacation.com and order a state vacation guide which lists all the attractions. It also has a calendar of events, but they will add more as it gets closer to April, so check back.



Also visit www.visitmusiccity.com for the official site for Nashville. It has an interactive Events Calendar -- put in your dates and it lists what's going on. By late April, Opry Mills mall should be completely reopened after the flood, so check that out.



As for cute towns close by, visit Franklin (more upscale) and Lebanon (more oldtimey). If you want to drive down to Lynchburg and visit the Jack Daniel's Distillery, that is fun too. Stop in Bell Buckle along the way. And for eating, you will want to visit the Loveless Cafe -- not upscale, but a legend in Nashville.
