Nashville Beginners Tips?

Hello,

I am moving to Nashville this summer to pursuit singer/songwriter dreams and was wondering, since there are certainly many others out there like me who may be curious, does anyone have some tips on where to start? Or general tips about Nashville newcomers? Anything would be appreciated, whether it be about good restaurants, bad parts of town, or newbie-friendly open mic nights.

The Bluebird Cafe is known for singer/songwriter gigs, check out their site at http://www.bluebirdcafe.com/ They have a Monday Open Mic night, for newcomers.



Also, downtown can be a bit shady at night, be careful.
