What's your top 3 favorites of Nashville?

My fiance and I are planning on driving from Springfield, MO, to Myrtle Beach, SC, for our honeymoon in early July. We would like to stop in Nashville for one night. I don't know how much time we'll spend there, but we would like to do something fun before we head back on the road, and of course we'll want to eat.

Please list your Top 3 Favorites of Nashville. They can be events, attractions, restaurants, museums, activities, places to see, bed %26amp; breakfast, etc.

Thanks! What's your top 3 favorites of Nashville?
I'm a big music fan and Nashville is great for that. some things I enjoyed doing there were:

visiting Opryland is pretty amazing, if you have time to stop there and browse around. the hotel is beautiful.

Visiting the Ryman is neat. You can do a backstage tour and take pictures of yourself on stage with a microphone and guitar. Catch a show there if you have time, it's the best sounding building in the world! amazing acoustics.

The Country Music Hall of Fame is neat also.

Music Row to me is pretty awesome...there's not a ton to see there, but I love walking around there. You can see the music writer's publishing companies: ASCAP and BMI, and there are a lot of recording studios there. Starstruck is one of the bigger ones - that is Reba and her husband's. a ton of artists record there now days. Also RCA Studio B is there, and you can tour that (you have to get tickets thru the country music hall of fame for it). I thought it was pretty neat..you get to see where Elvis and several other legends recorded.

Night life in Nashville is awesome..tons of bars and great music! Tootsie's is famous for singers showing up there to perform on stage. The Stage is my favorite bar, it was also used in the movie "Country Strong" that came out this year.

Jacks BBQ on Broadway is really good. Highly recommend eating there! Also, The Hard Rock Cafe on the waterfront is a must eat place!

There are a lot of great souvenir shops downtown also on 2nd Ave if you're looking for something to take home!

Have fun!
1.) Wild Horse Saloon

2.) Ryman Auditorium

3.) Country Music Hall of Fame

As some others have also said, the Opryland Hotel is amazing. I attended a convention there once and spent hours just exploring the place. It's like there's a whole city inside there, you can take a riverboat ride, stroll through gardens, shop, eat, etc. What's your top 3 favorites of Nashville?
1. lobby of the Union Station Hotel

2. Frist Museum

3. **

** My favorites include shopping at Southeastern Salvage and at Publix Supermarkets. Probably not what you are looking for. Consider a visit to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and riding the boat through the Delta inside.
1) Country Music Hall of Fame

2) Tin Pan Alley

3)The Parthenon

Since you are starting in SW Missouri consider a side trip to Eureka Springs AR and then skim northern Arkansas on US 62. Its beautiful. There are several very nice B%26amp;Bs along 62
If you haven't been to the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, it's definitely worth stopping there for a couple hours. There is often $5 parking if you don't go into the first "main" hotel entrance. There will be signs. Or you could always park across the street (McGavok Pike) and walk. There is a very reasonable priced burger joint that is really, really good. It's called Stax (in Delta) and burgers are $5-6 and that includes any and all toppings including unique ones. There are two other very reasonable restaurants (sports bar, Irish Pub in the Magnolia area). Lots of traditional restaurants that are amazing, but pricey. I think they are worth the cost - especially if you're celebrating. There is also a nightclub, but I don't know how "happening" it is most nights. I suppose it depends on what conferences are at the hotel at the time.

Downtown Nashville is great for nightlife. Tootsie's Orchid Lounge is the best. If you like country music, the Wildhorse Saloon is downtown, too. Great food.

If you are intersted in Civil War history, Franklin (about 15 minutes from downtown Nashville) has several useums and is rich in history. Cute main street with fun shops, too.

We love living here, so hopefully you'll enjoy your quick trip.
