Ideas for husband's 30th birthday?

my husband is turning 30 on Nov. 8. He says if it were up to him, he wouldn't celebrate. He absolutely does not want a party, and he has made it crystal clear.



i planned to go to nashville for the weekend, but with cash and his schedule, it wouldn't be possible. instead, i decided to get a hotel room in st. louis for saturday night. it's much closer to where we live. so i planned to go to the tour of busch stadium saturday afternooon, and i have reservations at a nice restaurant for that evening. but other than that, i don't have anything planned. i feel like this won't be a very exciting birthday, and i don't know what else to do.



i feel like we should be celebrating with other people - but his family lives 8 hours away, my parents are in town, but they will taking our daughter for the weekend. other than that, i have some high school friends around that we don't talk to much, and he has a friend that he occassionally hangs out with.



does anyone have ideas for how to make his day special? activities, gifts, etc?

I'm doing something similar for my boyfriend's 38th. We are going to a St. Louis Blues game though and staying all night around Union station. I thought that in addition to the tickets for his bday, I would make him one of those personalized calendars from Walmart.com where you put in all of your own pictures for the months...those are cool and he's sentimental like that. :)
