I don't live in Nashville, but I'm only a few hours' drive away.

I cannot go to Nashville without eating at Jack's Barbecue. It's just too good. I don't care what diet I'm on at the time, it's out the window if I'm less than a few miles from Jack's. :)
Noshville has great sandwhiches and some awesome cheesecake they bring in from NYC. Their soups are great too. It鈥檚 one of my favorites in town at the moment.

Demos has very excellent steak and you can get a lot of food relatively cheap there. Try the ribeye sandwhich.

Anatolia is an awesome Turkish resteraunt. Ask the waiter to recommend something for you.

Mafiaoza鈥檚 is great for pizza and beer.

Casa Fiesta in Antioch is the best for Mexican food, and has excellent margeritas.

Tin Angel is great because of the way the chef combines flavors. They put together some great combinations that I would never consider on my own.

Maggiano's is my favorite for Italian. Great food and large portions. I can order the spaghetti and meatballs and eat three meals from it.What are your favorite local restaurants in Nashville and why?
